"Shadow Play" is the sixth track off of Gallagher's 1978 album, Photo-Finish. Most of the songs were recorded on what was supposed to be an earlier album but Gallagher was unhappy with the recordings so he scrapped it. He fired the keyboardist, replaced the drummer, and returned to the power trio set up like he had on earlier recordings.
