In this lesson, we’ll show you how to play the rhythm guitar part for the first two verses of “My Girl.” It’s a fairly easy two chord pattern that’s played on the backbeat using staccato to punctuate the line and add a different texture to the mix.

By the end of this lesson you will have learned:

  • C and F chords
  • Quarter note strum
  • Fret hand string muting
  • Accented strumming
