"What's Up" is from 4 Non Blonde's debut 1992 album, Bigger, Better, Faster, More! The Chorus lyric repeats "What's Going On," but the song title was chosen to avoid confusion with Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On." The song was first recorded with producer David Tickle, but Linda Perry ended up going to rerecord the song and produced the final version herself.
